Holy crap that was a long time ago, I can't remember that, but I think the first book I remember buying was Harry Potter and the Philosophers  Stone, bought it second-hand with pocket money (the same with up to The Goblet of Fire, so my first full set is half second-hand, half brand new.

2 - Which book did you just finish?

Morganville: The Series – The show stars fan favorites Robert Picardo as Oliver (Star Trek: Voyager) and Amber Benson (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) as Amelie, as well as Lindsay Seidel (Claire), Jordan Taylor Farris (Shane), Haileigh Todd (Eve), Ben Easter (Michael), Nikki Donley (Hannah), Afomia Hailemeskel (Monica), Jessi Mechler (Gina), Taylor Murphy (Jennifer), Gregory Connors (Brandon) and Chase Ryan Jeffery (Myrnin). It is directed by Blake Calhoun, known for his award-winning and groundbreaking digital series Pink and Continuum, the show was filmed on location in Texas on a Blackmagic camera.

Rachel Caine –  is a fictional character herself … a pen name of writer Roxanne Conrad. Since 2003, Rachel has written in the adult Urban Fantasy genre (the Weather Warden, Outcast Season, Revivalist and Red Letter Days series) as well as in Young Adult fiction (the Morganville Vampires series and award-winning novel Prince of Shadows). She is the author of more than forty novels and many short stories, and is regularly featured in anthology collections, most recently the Charlaine Harris edited Dead But Not Forgotten.

Summary -- Morganville - a brave teen (Claire Danvers) moves to the very isolated West Texas town to attend the local university, only to (a) run afoul of the local mean (very mean) girls, and (b) move to the safety of off-campus housing with three strangers. 

But the plot thickens when she discovers that her new housemates aren’t crazy: Morganville really is run by vampires. They own it, and every one in it. And now ... they own her.

After the aftermath and betrayal of finding out that the serial killer the FBI and The Naturals were after was one of their own, and a pretty important one involved in The Naturals training, The Naturals programme is coming under fire. Everyone's still shaken, Deans closed off as usual, Michaels using his humour mechanism, you never know what Lia's feeling, Cassie's second guessing herself and her ability and feeling guilty for how and what she's feeling and Sloane...is Sloane.

So, how was everybody's week? Mines been...interesting. I was really ill Sunday night, started being sick around 8.30PM, come 10PM I was being sick every couple of seconds, and it literally didn't stop until 12PM Monday afternoon, so I got no sleep at all, wasn't keeping water down, my face looked like I had an allergic reaction to something, so had to go up the doctors as soon as they were open and I was dehydrated, if I would've left it any longer it would've been a hospital trip for a drip. Luckily, the anti-sickness tablets and rehydration salts worked quickly.  Even if they were disgusting. It's almost been a week and I still feel like crap, haven't really eaten anything and don't really want to go through that again anytime soon.

Everybody have a good Halloween? :)

I've learned my lesson, me and Melissa de la Cruz books to not go well together. I read two of the Blue Bloods series when I was in my Vampire faze of reading, and even then I skimmed most of them because ugh.

Frozen was a hot mess, which is pretty ironic. It's not even a good hot mess where yes, most of it's all over the place but ends up with it tying all together nicely and everything had its place. This isn't that book. Frozen was a bad hot mess- and that was just the first half- I didn't even make it to the end. Which is probably really unfair of me, but you know.

Halloween Recommendation: Part Four: Psychological Thrillers

Come on, tell me you're not the least bit interested after that hook? Also, set in a mental institute. Need I say more? Okay, Ultraviolet was more of a psychological thriller in the beginning before it went all sci-fi on us, but It's still one of my favourites to read around Halloween.
