Bestselling author of the Wicked Lovely books Melissa Marr’s first contemporary YA novel is a twisted southern gothic tale of obsession, romance, and murder. A killer is obsessed with Eva Tilling. Can she stop him, or will he claim her?

When Eva Tilling wakes up in the hospital, she’s confused—who in her sleepy little North Carolina town could have hit her with their car? And why? But before she can consider the question, she finds that she’s awoken with a strange new skill: the ability to foresee people’s deaths when they touch her. While she is recovering from the hit-and-run, Nate, an old flame, reappears, and the two must traverse their rocky past as they figure out how to use Eva’s power to keep her friends—and themselves—alive. But while Eva and Nate grow closer, the killer grows increasingly frantic in his attempt to get to Eva.

For the first time, New York Times bestselling author Melissa Marr has applied her extraordinary talent to contemporary realism. Chilling twists, unrequited obsession, and high-stakes romance drive this Gothic, racy thriller—a story of small-town oppression and salvation. Melissa’s fans, and every YA reader, will find its wild ride enthralling

Now, the psychology behind the process of the killer in Made For You was perfect, spot on. It's the main thing I loved about it, and that's what kept me reading. Usually when it comes to serial killers/killers I usually have issues with the development behind it- they usually don't add all up or are adapted for the convenience of the story. Even when they do have the killers perspective, never really gave me the creeps as much as I thought it would, because they always had this line that they wouldn't cross because of YA, but it always made it unrealistic
Not that you'd count the killer in Made for You as a serial killer- it's complicated.

The Book Gif Tag: The One With All the Merlin Gifs

This was fun trying to find gifs for one the ones I've read, and gifs for the ones I haven't, so those ones are a little random, and, well, trying to find all of that with Merlin gifs.

I miss Merlin.

Anyway, thanks to the lovely Laura @ Blue Eye Books for tagging me a few weeks ago!

I uhm, I've read 4 of these. Yes, you heard that right, 4. But, but...no I have no excuse. *Haven't Read

Review: Tabula Rasa (Don't Get Me Started)

Title: Tabula Rasa
Author:
Publication Date: September 23rd 2014
Publisher: EgmontUSA
~A copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review~

The Bourne Identity meets Divergent in this heart-pounding debut.
Sixteen-year-old Sarah has a rare chance at a new life. Or so the doctors tell her. She’s been undergoing a cutting-edge procedure that will render her a tabula rasa—a blank slate. Memory by memory her troubled past is being taken away.

But when her final surgery is interrupted and a team of elite soldiers invades the isolated hospital under cover of a massive blizzard, her fresh start could be her end.

Navigating familiar halls that have become a dangerous maze with the help of a teen computer hacker who's trying to bring the hospital down for his own reasons, Sarah starts to piece together who she is and why someone would want her erased. And she won’t be silenced again.

A high-stakes thriller featuring a non-stop race for survival and a smart heroine who will risk everything, Tabula Rasa is, in short, unforgettable

Eh. At first the whole idea of Tabula Rasa reminded me of the Slated series by Teri Terry, criminals or dangerous people- who are either a danger to others or themselves get a second chance by having their memories wiped for a fresh start, but with Tabula Rasa, you quickly realise that that's not the case. The idea of it is- the criminal's getting their memories wiped is- but the execution is not.

It's My Blogoversary and I'll Cry if I Want To: 1 Year Blogoversary (kind of) Giveaway!

StudioReads is over a year old! I was looking at my blogoversary button the other day (which I've now taken down and have to redo) and was thinking it's been an awfully long year, so I went and checked my first ever post. Which went live on the 24/06/2013. So really, I've been blogging for a year and 1/3!

I'm quite proud of myself that I've stuck to something this long, I've tried sewing, that lasted a few months. I tired knitting and started off with a square of a blanket that...turned into a triangle. Magic! Honestly, it was square when I finished it...

Stacking the Shelves (#63) & Recap

STSmallStacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

So, how was everybody's week? Mines been good. I was going to carry on from the physical stacking the shelves from last week but again, waiting on a few more books, so might as well put them altogether.

I've been good digitally, though! Only one, which I got last week
