Waiting on Wednesday (#46)

"Waiting on" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ares, God of War, is leading the other dying gods into battle. Which is just fine with Athena. She's ready to wage a war of her own, and she's never liked him anyway. If Athena is lucky, the winning gods will have their immortality restored. If not, at least she'll have killed the bloody lot of them, and she and Hermes can die in peace.

Cassandra Weaver is a weapon of fate. The girl who kills gods. But all she wants is for the god she loved and lost to return to life. If she can't have that, then the other gods will burn, starting with his murderer, Aphrodite.

The alliance between Cassandra and Athena is fragile. Cassandra suspects Athena lacks the will to truly kill her own family. And Athena fears that Cassandra's hate will get them ALL killed.

The war takes them across the globe, searching for lost gods, old enemies, and Achilles, the greatest warrior the world has ever seen. As the struggle escalates, Athena and Cassandra must find a way to work together. Because if they can't, fates far worse than death await.

Oh I didn't know she had another book to be released. I haven't read any by her but I'm really curious I heard great things about her.

I've never read any Kendare Blake, but it sounds interesting! I love Greek myths!
My recent post [Waiting on Wednesday] #O5 A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
Great pick. I still need to read the first book to catch up with the series. Thanks for sharing :)

Happy Wednesday!

sounds good, hope you get to read it soon. Happy hump day :)
I hadn't heard about this one before, but it definitely sounds interesting! :) I think I need to add it to my TBR list. Great pick!
I freaking hate cover changes! Especially since the first cover is to die for gorgeous and this one is just, meh.

I don't even know why they do these cover changes considering how much readers hate that!!! I often stop buying the physical edition when they change covers. If it's going to look ugly in my shelf then I'd rather have it on my Kindle.
I haven't read the first book yet but the series does sound intriguing. Great pick!
I hadn't heard of this series before but it sounds great :D
And I HATE it when they change cover in the middle of a series. Why would they do that, it's so cruel :( .
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!

Great choice! I need to read Antigoddess, the series sounds so amazing.

I hate when the covers change in the middle of a series. It happened me a few times, but the one that bothers me most is the Under the Never Sky series. I have all three books in paperback, all with different and unmatching covers. Very annoying. I get the 'why', but that doesn't mean I have to like it! Thanks for stopping by earlier =)

I hate cover changes! Now mine won't match either :'(

I agree, I really dislike cover changes, I mean it's fine if they made it prettier and I never had the earlier book/s. But if I had one and I can't get the next one the same I get very sad/angry (it's a bit mixed).
I did like the feather better than this one.
I haven't read any of Blake's books but they are on my tbr pile, so I must have seen them somewhere once upon a time. Great choice

I have not heard of this one, but I feel you. I get so mad when my books don't match! Like I am full of rage because my Hunger Games series doesn't match (one paperback and 2 hardcover!). Hope you enjoy the book though!

I loved her (matching) Anna series, but haven't read Antigoddess, which takes the sting out of this redesign for me, but I feel you. Not cool.

Thanks for stopping by!

ohmy, I never knew Kendare Blake has another series. and not matching book covers in series = total let down... but still, nice pick! :D

My recent post [REVIEW] Code Name Verity
Oh, awesome pick! I have the first book sitting on my shelf since last year and have never gotten to it yet! But I've heard amazing things about this series! Only thing I don't like is the switch on covers. I like them to have a similar cover, not a completely different theme. But its still an awesome cover either way!

Thanks for stopping by my WoW @ Addicted Readers! :)
