Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme, hosted by btt2, about (mostly) books and reading.
I don't know if there's a Booking Through Thursday this week, so for today I'm going through one I've missed.
What makes you choose the books you read?
Genre? Reviews? Certain authors? Covers? Recommendations?
I'm not too bothered by the genre, I'm interested in a lot of different ones. For me, it's reviews and certain authors. If I'm buying a book, I mostly always read the reviews first, the good and the bad to determine if it's for me or not. Authors, if I've read previous ones of there's and I've loved them I'll buy them without looking. I'm not one for recommendations unless I know said person are on the same front as me, with what's important in a book, since it's different for everyone.
And I'm sure, as a lot of people, I'm lured in by a pretty cover every now and then, but I've learned my lessons on some pretty covers.
