For fans of Stephen King and American Horror Story, a gruesome thriller suggested by the events of the Amityville Horror.

Connor's family moves to Amity to escape shady business deals. Ten years later, Gwen's family moves to Amity for a fresh start after she's recovered from a psychotic break.

But something is not right about this secluded house. Connor's nights are plagued with gore-filled dreams of demons and destruction. Dreams he kind of likes. Gwen has lurid visions of corpses that aren't there and bleeding blisters that disappear in the blink of an eye. She knows Amity is evil and she must get her family out, but who would ever believe her?

Amity isn't just a house. She is a living force, bent on manipulating her inhabitants to her twisted will. She will use Connor and Gwen to bring about a bloody end as she's done before. As she'll do again.

Alternating between parallel narratives, Amity is a tense and terrifying tale suggested by true-crime events that will satisfy even the most demanding horror fan.

 

So, I'm keeping this short because 1) there's not much to say about it and 2) it's hard to even know what to say because not much actually went on.

If anyone asked describe Amity in one word it would be disturbing. Because if I said this was disappointing, my house might kill me. Firstly, let's talk about the false marketing shall we? It sounds like an Amityville Horror retelling, looks like an Amityville Horror retelling, the house is described like Amityville and It's even called Amity, so guess what it is?

Dangerous Girls was on my radar last year, and although it had all these amazing reviews I didn't think it was for me. When I saw Dangerous Boys and thought why not? Why not indeed, because oh damn. I just- NO WORDS. So this will probably be a rambling review because it's one of those that are hard to talk about without spoiling, but is so freaking mind blowing that I just want to spoil it. But, I won't. Because you seriously need to read it for yourself and get all the feelings because it is amazing and twisted with a heavy dose of psychology and is it bad to say how much I freaking love how twisted it was? It has some serious shit going on, and something like this you shouldn't really love but I did, because it was fascinating and  see? Rambling.

Cosplay Antics: MCM Part 2

Back last week in my MCM Part 1 post, I talked about how I created and made my Classical/Dapper Mickey Mouse. Cosplay outfit for MCM back in May, this week I'll be showing you how I made the rest and the final product.

Note- I cannot use a sewing machine, so everything I do is glued or hand sewn. Not bragging or anything. ;)

 There were a ton of things  I had to do to complete the outfit, which included;

•  Top Hat with ears,

•  Bow Tie,

•  Shirt,

• Waist Coat,

• Pants/Trousers,

• Boots and Spats (boot covers)

• Cane.

I hope, also, that they remember none of it would have happened had my mother not turned her back on magic. Or had my mother left me alone in my grandmother's cottage. Or had my mother, drunk on the cult of domesticity and stuffed to the bring with 1860's mortality, not been so determined to see me a proper lady.

So, if the people of my island blame anyone, better her than me.

It was a slow start from me, but such beautiful writing, but it picked up and it's pretty amazing, by the time this is posted I've probably finished it, and it's one of those that you don't want to carry on reading because it means it'll end. :(
